Kassandra + Ryan | Married | Sweet Water Farm

Ryan and Kassandra got married on a seriously perfect day at Sweet Water Farms in Bonita, CA surrounded by their closest family and friends. The two of them embody that goofy, loving and adventurous spirit that is everything I hope for when I photograph couples in love. I wish for laughter and joy above all else, and Ryan and Kassandra have had no shortage of that throughout their relationship. Just look at these two during their Anza-Borrego Desert engagement session!!

They both met at a mutual friend's Halloween party. Ryan was dressed as Green Lantern, for obvious reasons, (I mean his name is actually Ryan Reynolds, crazy right??) and Kassandra was dressed as Marilyn Monroe. Although this was the first time they met, they barely talked that night as they hung out with our friends. As the years went by, the two of them would run into one another at various parties with their mutual friends. It wasn't until they worked on “Evil Dead: The Musical” that they actually became friends.

Kassandra and Ryan’s first date was at Sushi Fish Attack, which is a personal FAV of mine located right in my hood of Clairemont. Ryan was excited to show Kassandra a local sushi bar not knowing the fact that Kassandra did not like sushi. At all. Who would have guessed after all of these years that they would have gotten married and Kassandra would fall in love with sushi?? (I’m glad she came around, haha!)

Ryan knew that Kassandra's favorite place was Disneyland so months prior to popping the question, Ryan asked Kassandra where her favorite place was in the park (secretly hoping it wasn't in front of the castle). Kassandra was specific in her answer, saying that her favorite place was the carousel at night because of the lights. Knowing this, Ryan spent months planning how to get Kassandra to Disneyland and to the carousel while still making it a surprise. Ryan decided to use his birthday as a reason to go the park. He enlisted two of Kassandra's friends, Julia and Joel, who had previously worked at the parks to help plan and act as photographers. Throughout the day, Ryan said he wanted to take pictures in each of the lands and end it in the middle of the park. (Excellent ploy, sir) At sunset, Ryan and Kassandra took their picture in front of the carousel where Ryan asked her to be his "happily ever after". *Insert allllll the happy tears*

Kassandra and Ryan made the decision to do a first look before their ceremony in order to have a private moment together (and with their ninja photographers) before the craziness of the ceremony and reception. In their own words, “It was a time that we could cry together, laugh together and soak in everything that was about to happen.” And what a party it was! I’m pretty sure I cried no less than 5 times, and have ROCK HARD abs from all the laughter. Ryan and Kassandra soaked it all up and made sure to enjoy every bit of the magical day they worked so hard to plan. Their wedding day was filled to the brim with all the people and things (read: FOOD) that the two of them love together. From delicious street tacos, to fiery Hot Cheetos and Funyuns during cocktail hour, a mountainous tower of doughnuts for dessert, as well as bubbly local brews curtesy of Tap Truck.

Kassandra and Ryan, your wedding is a day I would love to relive again and again!
